Starting a new season of life is hard for everyone. Whether that is coming back for another semester of school or starting a new job, change can be scary. Often, we can start to feel as if we are by ourselves in all of this. It is easy to begin to believe the lies that we are alone whether we are physically surrounded by others or not. Luckily for us, this is not the truth. This is because we serve a God who promises that He will never leave us! He has always been and will always be with us. He knew us and was with us before we were born and will still be with us after we die. He is the one thing that stays constant in every season and stage of life.
Imagine that you are standing on a solid rock. Around you everything is crumbling and shaking except for the rock beneath your feet. Let Jesus be your rock and do not give into the lie that you are in this shaken world. Although you may see the world shaking, know that you are only surrounded by it, you are not of it. This firm foundation in Christ is your home and He will never leave you there alone.
Even in the times we do not “feel” God, He is still always there. He is there when you are laughing with your friends. He is there in the middle of that test or lecture video. He is there when you are alone in your room. He is there. Choose to trust in this promise today. You are never alone so start believing that the God of the universe is with you, even now.
