New Beginnings

With the Spring 2021 semester slowly winding down, it is time to look ahead to new beginnings. Whether you are graduating or taking summer class there is plenty to look forward to in the next season. Summer offers us all a fresh start that we can use in some area of our life. Summer is the perfect season to allow God to make us full with new life and opportunities. I urge everyone to be thankful and utilize every opportunity you are granted in the upcoming season, even if it may be uncomfortable. We must continue to find our joy and trust the plan of God. Isaiah 32:17 states And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever. Regardless of the future ahead Christ will be there every step of the way to guide you and provide peace in His plan. What God has in store is so much greater than what we could imagine for ourselves.

Similarly we should not be discouraged when something goes wrong in this new season of life. Lamentations 3:22-23 encompasses a similar idea as it says Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassion never fails. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Due to God’s greatness we are offered new mercy each and every day. This is a new opportunity to pursue God’s and His plan for you. God has an unmatched grace for you each and every day. Run to Him with all your struggles, triumphant joy, and the moments in between.

If you are not graduating and do not feel like you are going through a big transition, there are still ways to receive a new beginning. God offers new beginnings by repenting. By repenting we are offered freedom from a sin that may have been holding us back. 1n John 1:9 we learn the opportunities that are available if due to repentance: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We are beyond blessed that we are forgiven for our many sins and offered so many new beginnings. Other ways to grow a more intimate relationship with God and be offered a fresh start is through prayer, humility, and studying the bible.

In summary, God has a beautiful plan for you in these new beginnings even if it may be a challenging transition. You have the grace of God and his faithful love to walk you through these times! Run and open up your heart to Him and receive the glory that this new beginning has to offer you.

We will miss all of the Spring 2021 graduates dearly and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
